Participant Reviews

Pimchanok Phromsri
Bangkok · Families Program

"My husband and I had been managing our money quite separately for years, which created friction. The sessions gave us a shared vocabulary and a joint system we actually both use now. The savings planner in particular was something we hadn't tried to do together before."

"I've been running my shop for four years and always handed everything to my accountant without really understanding it. After this program I can read my own P&L and I understand where my margin problems have been coming from. It's a completely different situation now."

Bangkok · Youth Program

"I was 19 when I joined and honestly didn't think I had enough money to 'need' financial education. But it wasn't about having a lot of money — it was about making good habits early. The session on borrowing was the one I found most useful, because no one had ever explained how interest actually works."

Sukhumvit · Small Business

"The cash flow module changed how I plan ahead. I used to think about profit but not timing, and that's what was causing me cash problems even in good months. The spreadsheet template they gave us is now one of the first things I open each week."

Apinya Rattanakul
Bangkok · Families Program

"We attended as a couple and the joint exercises were genuinely useful — it forced a few conversations we'd been avoiding. There's nothing dramatic to report, just a lot of small adjustments we've made since that have added up. We feel more in control than we did before."

Bangkok · Youth Program

"My school enrolled our class and I wasn't expecting much from it. The scenario exercises kept things interesting though, and I left with an actual plan for how I want to handle money when I start working. The journal has been more useful than I expected."

Case Studies

A closer look at what some participants came in with, and what changed.

Case Study 01 · Families Program

A family with misaligned financial habits

Challenge

A Bangkok couple with two incomes and two completely separate approaches to spending. Neither partner had a clear picture of the household's total financial position, and both felt uncertain about how much they could realistically save each month.

Program

The Budgeting Masterclass for Families gave them a shared framework and a joint tracking document. The session on household debt helped them identify a pattern of small recurring costs that had been invisible to both of them.

Outcome

Six weeks after completing the program, the couple reported a clearer shared view of their finances and had set their first joint savings goal. The main change was having a single, agreed-upon budget document they both contributed to.

Case Study 02 · Small Business Program

A small business owner unable to predict cash flow

Challenge

A Watthana-based café owner who was generating solid revenue but experiencing recurring cash shortfalls. His accountant managed filings, but he had little visibility into why certain months were harder than others despite similar sales.

Program

The Small Business Financial Fundamentals program introduced him to cash flow projection as distinct from profit. The break-even analysis template helped him understand the relationship between his fixed costs and variable revenue more precisely.

Outcome

He identified that a quarterly supplier payment was the primary driver of cash stress and adjusted his reserves accordingly. Three months later he described his financial management as "predictable for the first time."

Case Study 03 · Youth Program · School Group

A secondary school cohort encountering financial decisions for the first time

Challenge

A class of 20 students aged 16–18, many of whom were beginning part-time work or managing their first bank accounts. No financial education had been offered within the school curriculum.

Program

Quintly delivered the Youth Financial Awareness Program as a school cohort. Scenarios were adapted for the age group and peer discussion was incorporated into each session. Each student received a personal finance journal.

Outcome

Exit survey responses showed 85% of students felt more confident discussing money with their families. Several students used the journal to set their first savings targets. The school subsequently enrolled a second cohort.
